It is usually considered for severe acne, acne that is causing scarring, or acne that has not responded adequately to standard treatment. However there are cases of acne which may not fit the criteria but an still be treated with Roaccutane. It is best to contact us for advice.
Yes. Monitoring typically includes baseline liver function and lipid tests, repeat testing at 1 month, then every 3 months.
No. Isotretinoin must not be used during pregnancy because it can seriously harm an unborn baby.

A mixture of close up pictures and a few further away is usually best. Smartphones can take some amazing pictures these days and it's pretty straightforward. Make sure you get clear pictures by pressing the focus button before you take the picture. Good lighting is crucial to taking a good picture too. We find it's best to take it in daylight, near a window or even outside if you feel comfortable doing this. Obviously that would not be suitable to do in all cases! It can also be easier to ask someone else to take the pictures for you if you feel comfortable with this.
